Coming soon · OTA for MicroPython microcontrollers

Secure OTA updates for MicroPython on ESP32.

Signed over-the-air updates that barely touch the battery.
ESP32 battery life · Planned

Run your battery flat, in minutes.

Package a release and we run it against a virtual battery until it's empty, fast-forwarding through every deep sleep, so months of ESP32 battery life and power consumption take minutes. Then you see the day each release would run out.
Coding agents · In development

Built for your coding agent.

Ask Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot to add otalite. Prompts, AGENTS.md instructions, a Claude Code skill and an MCP server, so your agent adds OTA updates to your MicroPython project correctly.
otalite init
Writes the agent instructions into your project.
MCP server
Lets your agent read fleet status and draft rollouts. You approve them.
Your passkey
Agents get no publishing rights by default; a rollout an agent drafts waits for you.
Secure OTA for ESP32

Signed. Verified. Or not installed.

Signed firmware updates (Ed25519), verified on the device: the kind of secure update mechanism the EU Cyber Resilience Act asks for.
Ed25519
A signature on every release, verified on the device before it installs.
OSCORE
Every check-in encrypted and authenticated. Replays are refused.
Rollback
A version that never confirms is undone by the device itself.
otalite runs on Fly.io and Tigris, whose infrastructure has SOC 2 Type 2 reports. Those reports are theirs: otalite itself is not SOC 2 audited and does not sign BAAs.
From the workbench

Built by a maker, for makers ready to take their ideas into production.

It started on a workbench full of ESP32s. otalite is the update service we wished we'd had when a side project turned into devices in the field.
